delhi

DAY 1: Departure point / Delhi

Arrival in Delhi, welcome by your guide and transfer to the hotel.

Delhi Mahansar

DAY 2: Delhi / Mahansar - 270 km

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the Shekhawati region. Lunch en route. On arrival, welcome by a family of the warrior caste and check-in at the hotel. Visit the village of Mahansar, at the heart of a region rich in hundreds of havelis — small palaces or mansions decorated with frescoes dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. In the evening you will take part in preparing Indian dishes. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Bikaner

DAY 3: Mahansar / Bikaner - 200 km

Breakfast. Departure for Bikaner. Along the way, a stop is planned to visit the small old town of Ram Garh, where you will discover beautiful old mansions and frescoes dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Arrival in Bikaner and check-in at the hotel. Lunch in Bikaner. Visit Junagarh Fort, an immense citadel with a circumference of 1 km. There we will see a superb maharaja's palace built in the 16th century, whose interior is truly worthy of a palace. The next stop is Deshnok, 20 km from the city, to visit the Karni Mata temple, the temple of rats — a unique place where people come from all over India to venerate and admire the rats, and where devotees bow down at the appearance of a white rat. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

The nomad route and the sacred Ganges

DAY 4: Bikaner / Jaisalmer - 340 km

Breakfast and departure for Jaisalmer. Along the way we will visit the Baba Ramdev temple, a temple for both Hindus and Muslims. It is a sacred place for all religions. Once a year the largest fair in India is held here, and people come on foot from all over the country. Arrival in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel. We will go to watch the sunset over the royal cenotaphs of the Maharajas of Jaisalmer. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: Jaisalmer

Breakfast. Visit the city of Jaisalmer, known as the Golden City, and its impressive yellow sandstone fortress that stands in all its splendor and dominates the town. This city was an important caravan halt on the Silk Road. Walk through the streets of the lower town to admire the richly carved facades of the Nathmal and Patwa mansions — those magnificent havelis that reveal the charm of Jaisalmer. Visit Gadi Sar lake. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the abandoned priests' village of Kuldhara. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Thar Desert

DAY 6: Jaisalmer / Thar Desert - 150 km (100 km / approx. 4h)

Breakfast. Departure for the Thar Desert. Lunch and check-in at the camp. Set off in a 4x4 jeep for a safari across the sand dunes to spot gazelles, antelopes and more. Stop at a local home to visit a desert house and attend the opium ceremony. In the evening, folk dance and music of the desert. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Jodhpur

DAY 7: Thar Desert / Jodhpur - 150 km

Breakfast and departure for Jodhpur, the Blue City, where it is a pleasure to wander through the winding streets. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, His Majesty's fort, which dominates the town in all its splendor. It was built in 1459 like an eagle's nest. Lunch and check-in at the hotel. Continue with a walk through the old bazaar of Jodhpur. This city is known for its spices. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 8: Jodhpur / Ranakpur / Udaipur - 280 km

After breakfast, departure for Udaipur. Along the way, visit Ranakpur, known for its Jain temples. Visit the Adinath temple, which will captivate you with the beauty and complexity of its architecture and its 1,444 white marble pillars, each carved with different ornamentation. Lunch. On to Udaipur. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Udaipur

DAY 9: Udaipur

Breakfast. Visit Udaipur, one of the most wonderful cities of Rajasthan and known as the most romantic city of Rajasthan, built between lakes and hills. In the morning we will visit the City Palace and the Sahelion Ki Bari garden (once the setting for royal festivities). Visit a school of miniature painting. Boat excursion on Lake Pichola and a moment of relaxation on the Island of Pleasures, returning at sunset. Check-in, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Pushkar

DAY 10: Udaipur / Nagda / Pushkar - 300 km

Breakfast. Departure for Pushkar. Along the way, visit the beautiful 10th-century Sas Bahu temples at Nagda. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Lunch, then visit this Hindu holy city and the world's only temple dedicated to Brahma. We will go to Pushkar Lake, a sacred Hindu lake, where we will see Sadhus and people bathing on the Ghats, the steps that lead down to the lake.

DAY 11: Pushkar / Jaipur - 150 km

Breakfast. Departure for Jaipur. Check-in and lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, a Bollywood film screening at the most beautiful cinema in Asia, the Raj Mandir. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 13: Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra - 160 km

Breakfast. Departure for Agra. Along the way, visit the ghost town of Fatehpur Sikri, built in the 16th century, which was the City of Victory under the Mughal Empire. Arrival in Agra. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Taj Mahal

DAY 14: Agra / Delhi / Departure point

Breakfast, then visit the magnificent Taj Mahal at sunrise. Afterwards, visit the Red Fort. Departure for Delhi. Arrival and lunch, followed by a tour of New Delhi passing by the India Gate, the Sikh temple Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, and the Qutub Minar built in the 12th century, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Farewell dinner.
